He even penned an award-winning screenplay, “The Good Ole Boy,” based on his upbringing in Longview. Although he passed away in 2021, his unwavering connection to his roots in Longview remained strong. His wife, Nancy, fondly recounted how he would enthusiastically surf the internet to watch Lobo football games, even in the comfort of their California home. This deep-seated loyalty to his alma mater was a testament to the remarkable foundation he received during his high school years, which continued to inspire him throughout his life.

Cherika Morrison Johnson, a 1995 graduate, pursued higher education relentlessly, earning degrees from Kilgore College, LeTourneau University, and Grand Canyon University. Her journey eventually led her to become a licensed Realtor and the owner of Johnson Realty in Longview. Engaged in various local organizations, Johnson expressed her immense pride at being named a Distinguished Alumni member. She attributed her success to the incredible teachers at Longview High, who not only imparted knowledge but also instilled a drive for higher education. She further emphasized the culture of support and encouragement that permeated the school, helping students succeed even after graduation.

Lisa Supercinski Muller, a 1986 graduate, currently serves as the superintendent of Pryor Public Schools in . Her academic pursuits took her to renowned institutions like A&M University, the University of Houston, and the University of Oklahoma. In 2021, she was honored as Oklahoma’s Assistant Superintendent of the Year while working at Jenks Public Schools. Muller credits her success to her formative years as a Majorette at Longview High School. This experience taught her the value of hard work and the importance of working cohesively as a team. She echoed the sentiment that Longview ISD provided her with a robust foundation that paved the way for her accomplishments.
